The success of "Glee" has inspired other networks to begin producing musical series. Disney Channel, which is home to "High School Musical" installments is next in line, fast tracking a single-camera comedy show tentatively titled "Madison High".
Unlike "Glee", "Madison" relies on original music but like "Glee", the cast break-into-song-and-dance. The plan is to feature also artists from Disney's music label. Deadline says the project is the network's "most ambitious series yet".
Preliminary casting is already underway although a formal pilot order is yet official. They are looking for 11 to 16 year olds who will play the students of Madison High. The school "is trying to build a revolutionary theater program" and the students are working in an original piece based on their lives for an end of year project.
The development meanwhile involves "JONAS L.A." scribe Lester Lewis who works as a writer again beside executive producing with Paul Hoen. The latter name is the director of recent DCOM, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" who will be tapped to direct the pilot should it get a green light.

The Rock Pictured Filming 'Journey 2
The principal photography of "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" has been kicked off in late October and now new pictures from the set have been found. Lead stars Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutcherson, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Luiz Guzman were seen involved during the filming on Tuesday, November 9.
Taking place at a sandy beach in Hawaii, the production had Hudgens taping her running scene. The 21-year-old beauty seemingly enjoyed the warm weather as she was spotted lying under the sun in between takes. Hutcherson and Johnson, meanwhile, shared a frame for a scene set near some rocks.
In this "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D" sequel, Hutcherson reprises his role as Sean who this time will force his mother's boyfriend, portrayed by Johnson, to join him on a trip to a mythical and monstrous island to find his missing grandfather, portrayed by Michael Caine. A Sneak Peek of 'Glee'
FOX has been generous enough to give curious fans of "Glee" a sneak peek of the November 8 episode where the girls go against the guys in a mash-up battle. The storyline is rather familiar for they have done so in the first season when the girls combined "Halo" and "Walking on Sunshine", and the guys blended "It's My Life" and "Confessions Part II".
Bon Jovi's song appears again in this upcoming episode but it would be the girls' showtime. In the sneak peek below, Rachel and her friends open with The Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" before slipping the "whoa-aaa" part of Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer". A behind the scene is also released to reveal that the rehearsal for the particular clip did not always go smooth.
In the meantime, the boys would tone down the rock meter with a mash-up of The Supremes' "Stop! In the Name of Love" and En Vogue's "Free Your Mind". Other songs which would be performed in the episode called "Never Been Kissed" are Bob Marley's "One Love (People Get Ready)" which would be sung by Puck and Artie as well as Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" which is performed by Dalton Academy and has also been previewed.

Set Pics and Video of 'Breaking Dawn'
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have heated up the set of "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the filming of what looks like Bella and Edward's honeymoon scene, the twosome was spotted lip locking on the street.
Stewart, wearing a cream-colored dress, and Pattinson in a blue shirt were surrounded by a flock who kept dancing and walking despite witnessing the pair's PDA. The depicter of the mortal beauty was even captured wearing Bella's engagement ring on the set on Sunday night, November 7.
Previously, the on-screen couple had been spotted filming another romantic scene where they ride a boat. It is believed these scenes are parts of the sequence where Bella and Edward enjoy their honeymoon on a private island called Isle Esme, off the coast of Brazil.
In another news, Examiner has just reported that Andrea Powell is cast in "Breaking Dawn". "looks like I'll be making an appearance in the next #Twilight movie...and that my loyalties are now divided," the "The Gates" beauty wrote on her Facebook on Friday. "No word yet on whether or not I sparkle. At the VERY least I'm hoping for some really cool eyes.... I'll be playing Sasha, 'mother' of Tanya, Kate & Irina."
Beside shot in Brazil, "Breaking Dawn" is also filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Vancouver. Bill Condon serves behind the lens for these last two installments of the vampire drama film franchise, which are shot back to back. "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" is due November 18, 2011 in the U.S. while "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" is slated for November 16, 2012 release.
Mia Wasikowska's 'Jane Eyre's Poster and Synopsis Unraveled
Focus Features has debuted the first poster for "Jane Eyre", a movie adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's novel of the same title. It captures Mia Wasikowska's Jane Eyre from a side angle with a silhouette of a man's face, probably that of Michael Fassbender's Edward Rochester, on her dress.
According to the official storyline released by the studio, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester. The isolated and imposing residence - and Mr. Rochester's coldness - have sorely tested the young woman's resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. As Jane reflects upon her past and recovers her natural curiosity, she will return to Mr. Rochester - and the terrible secret that he is hiding...
Jamie Bell and Judi Dench are among the stars supporting the cast ensemble of the drama, which is directed by Cary Fukunaga. Scripted by Moira Buffini, "Jane Eyre" will grace limited U.S. theaters on March 11, 2011.
