Focus Features has debuted the first poster for "Jane Eyre", a movie adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's novel of the same title. It captures Mia Wasikowska's Jane Eyre from a side angle with a silhouette of a man's face, probably that of Michael Fassbender's Edward Rochester, on her dress.
According to the official storyline released by the studio, Jane Eyre flees Thornfield House, where she works as a governess for wealthy Edward Rochester. The isolated and imposing residence - and Mr. Rochester's coldness - have sorely tested the young woman's resilience, forged years earlier when she was orphaned. As Jane reflects upon her past and recovers her natural curiosity, she will return to Mr. Rochester - and the terrible secret that he is hiding...
Jamie Bell and Judi Dench are among the stars supporting the cast ensemble of the drama, which is directed by Cary Fukunaga. Scripted by Moira Buffini, "Jane Eyre" will grace limited U.S. theaters on March 11, 2011.
